Nasa has announced it wants people to apply to be astronauts.
The US space agency says some of the recruits will be working on preparation for their journey to Mars.
"This next group of American space explorers will inspire the Mars generation to reach for new heights, and help us realize the goal of putting boot prints on the Red Planet," said Nasa administrator Charles Bolden.
Stirring stuff, but applying is not completely straightforward.
Firstly, you have to be a US citizen, so that rules out most of the worldwide population.
Secondly, it looks like you'll have to be pretty smart and accomplished, given that they are looking for applications from pilots, engineers, scientists and medical doctors.
Thirdly, if your application goes forward, you'll have to pass the Nasa long-duration spaceflight physical test.
But if you are one of the people that fulfils all of these requirements, then you could be one of the few people to lift-off from the launchpad in Florida and carry out "deep-space exploration missions".
"This is an exciting time to be a part of America's human space flight program," says Brian Kelly, at Nasa's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
"Nasa has taken the next step in the evolution of our nation's human spaceflight program - and our US astronauts will be at the forefront of these new and challenging space flight missions."
During its history Nasa has selected 300 astronauts for missions in space
